Orton-Gillingham is phonics based reading program. Children learn how to sound out words and spell by using their visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic senses. As a trained Orton-Gillingham practitioner I will provide sequential lessons that will help your child to become a better reader, writer and speller. This is an ideal program for children who have fallen behind due decoding difficulties, have learning disabilities or dyslexia.

As a tutor my goal is to produce better writers, not simply better writing. In teaching children to take an active part in their own writing processes, they learn how to approach writing, organize ideas, and check their own work. Lessons are presented in a direct and simple manner. Children learn that writing can be easy and enjoyable when they are equipped with strategies.
